OUR PASTOR
Rev. R. David Michael was called as Pastor to GHBC in April 2013. Pastor Dave is a graduate of Heritage Baptist University, formerly of Palmyra, Ohio.
Pastor Dave also serves as Pastor to Center Valley Baptist Church, New Matamoras, Ohio, another church of the Marietta Association, American Baptist Churches of Ohio.
His leadership and administration skills were forged with 9 years of military service in the US Army and he has proven communication, design and marketing skills with over 25 years as VP Technical Systems and Services for Markinetics Inc, a marketing communications firm, formerly of Marietta, Ohio.
Prior to serving as Pastor to GHBC and CVBC, Pastor Dave was the Associate Pastor of New Hope Baptist Church, Parkersburg, WV.
Pastor Dave and his wife, Dawn, live in Marietta, Ohio. They have 3 adult children and 7 grandchildren.

You are loved. Sounds simple doesn't it? But HOW do you love someone so that they know you love them? At GHBC we make it our mission to share the love of Christ in our everyday lives and in the lives of those we come in contact.
Sometimes loving someone can be easy, like a simple smile or a kind word. Othertimes loving someone can be time consuming and risky, like helping a neighbor repair a broken lawn mower or seeing a family has enough food to eat. At times the task to love someone seems so unattainable. But don't give up, You Are Loved!
The people at GHBC aren't perfect, just forgiven. And when you are forgiven, it's easier to forgive others. We love others because Jesus loved us first.
